The Product Sync Settings determine how products from a Vendor’s online store (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Wix, etc.) sync into your Merchant store through Shipturtle.
These settings control:
- What information is synced when a product is first added (At Create)
- What information is synced when the vendor later updates that product (At Update)
1. Understanding “At Create” vs “At Update”
Every field has two independent toggles:
At Create
Controls what information is pulled when the product is imported for the first time.
At Update
Controls whether updates made on the Vendor’s store overwrite the information on your Merchant store.
2. Field-Specific Sync Toggles
For each of these fields, you can set At Create and At Update to ON/OFF:
- Title
- Description
- Product Type
- Status
- Media (Images)
- Tags
3. Override Product Status at Create
This setting controls what status a new product will have when it is first imported from the vendor’s store.
When enabled, you can choose from:
• Active
All new imported products will be created as Active, regardless of the vendor’s status.
• Draft
All new imported products will be created as Draft for review before publishing.
• As per Vendor Product
New products will follow the vendor’s original status (Active/Draft).
Important
If Status → At Update is ON, the product status may change later based on updates from the vendor.
If you want products to stay in Draft, keep Status → At Update = OFF.
4. Action on Product Deletion (Vendor Store)
Decide what happens on your Merchant store when a Vendor deletes a product from their website.
Options:
- Delete product on Merchant store
Product is removed entirely. - Move product to Draft on Merchant store
Product stays but becomes non-public. - Do nothing
Product continues to be available even though it no longer exists on Vendor’s website.
Useful if you want to keep the listing alive for dropshipping or manual fulfillment.
5. Action on Product Unmapping (Inside Shipturtle App)
This applies when the Vendor unmaps the product from Shipturtle—not deleted on their store, just disconnected.
Options:
- Delete product on Merchant store
- Move product to Draft
- Do nothing
Example
Vendor unintentionally disconnects a product →
- If “Do Nothing” is selected → product continues selling normally.
- If “Delete” is selected → product disappears immediately.
6. Allow Vendors to Sync Their Website
This setting decides whether vendors can connect their store to enable:
- Automated product sync
- Real-time inventory sync
- Price & detail updates
- Order pushback (if you have order push add-on)
When to Enable
Enable if:
- You want vendors to maintain their own listings
- You want live inventory
- Your marketplace relies on automated sync
When to Disable
Disable if:
- You manually onboard products
- Vendors should not have backend access to sync
- You want complete control of product data
