Scope of this section
This section describes how Shipturtle accesses, uses, stores, shares, retains, and deletes user data obtained via OAuth or similar authorization methods when a Customer connects any third-party application or platform (including but not limited to Google, Meta, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, or other service providers) to the Services. It applies to all APIs and scopes that our application may request, as disclosed on the consent screen and summarized in Annex A (Scope-to-Purpose Mapping).
Data we access
Shipturtle requests only the minimum data and scopes necessary to deliver user-facing features that are clearly visible and expected within the Services. Exact scopes and their purposes are disclosed at consent time and listed in Annex A. We do not request or retain scopes unrelated to the features used by the Customer.
How we use user data
User data is used exclusively to provide or improve the features that Customers interact with in the Services. It is not used for advertising, profiling beyond the requested feature, or sold to third parties. Processing is limited to the functionality shown in the user interface and explained in Annex A.
Human access
Shipturtle does not permit human access to user data except: (i) with the Customer’s explicit consent for support; (ii) when required by applicable law; or (iii) to investigate abuse, security issues, or outages.
Data sharing

User data is safeguarded with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based and least-privilege access, and continuous monitoring for unauthorized access.
Retention
User controls & deletion requests
Customers may revoke our access to any connected third-party integration at any time using that provider’s account settings (e.g., Security, Apps & Connections). After revocation, Shipturtle cannot access new data from that provider. Customers may also request deletion of user data stored by Shipturtle by contacting [insert support email]. We will delete or anonymize such data within 30 days, unless retention is legally required.
International transfers
If user data is transferred outside the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, Shipturtle applies appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms) and requires its processors to do the same.
Changes to this section
If Shipturtle materially changes how it accesses, uses, shares, or retains user data from third-party integrations, we will update this policy and, where legally required, obtain Customer consent before applying changes to existing data.
