The merchant dashboard is the central control panel for your marketplace. It gives you visibility into every vendor's orders, products, and payouts, along with controls to approve, edit, fulfill, and configure anything in the marketplace. This article explains what each section of the admin dashboard contains and what you can do there.
Who this is for
- Merchant: This is your primary working environment in Shipturtle.
Dashboard overview
When you log in, the dashboard opens to the Home view showing a summary of recent activity — total sales, open orders, pending approvals, and vendor performance highlights.
The left sidebar contains the main navigation. Each section is covered below.
What each section contains
Orders
All orders from every vendor in your marketplace, in one table. Filter by vendor, status, or date range. From here you can view order details, update fulfillment status on behalf of a vendor, and generate shipping labels directly. Use this view to catch orders that need attention across your entire marketplace at once.
Products
The full product catalog across all vendors. Approve or reject vendor submissions, edit product details, reassign a product to a different vendor, and publish or unpublish listings. This is where the approval queue lives if you have product approval enabled.
Vendor Management
A directory of all vendors on your marketplace. Add new vendors, edit profiles, view performance data, enable or disable vendor access, and send invitations. Each vendor entry links to their profile page where you can configure their individual permissions and warehouse settings.
Payouts
Tracks commissions owed to each vendor. After an order is fulfilled and marked as delivered, the payout for that order appears here. Release payouts individually or in bulk, record reference numbers, and download payout reports. This section links directly to the Commission & Payout rules in Setup & Configuration.
Messages
Displays announcements you've sent to vendors. If the Ask a Seller add-on is enabled, customer messages to vendors are also visible here for monitoring and moderation.
Setup & Configuration
All marketplace settings live here — formerly called Multi-Vendor Settings. Sub-sections include General Settings, Product Settings, Order Settings, Commission & Payout, Vendor Konnect Settings, Sale Channels, and more. See the Settings KB for detailed documentation on each sub-section.
User Management
Create and manage admin user accounts. Set roles and access levels for team members.
FAQs
Can I restrict what my team members can see or do in the admin dashboard?
Yes. Open User Management, select a user, and configure their role. Advanced permissions are available as an add-on that lets you restrict access at the section level.
Where do I find the commission settings?
Open Setup & Configuration → Commission & Payout. This combined section replaced the previously separate Commission, Commission Rules, and Payout sections.
Can I see a vendor's dashboard from the merchant admin to troubleshoot their view?
Not directly — vendor and merchant dashboards are separate. To understand what a vendor is seeing, ask them to share a screenshot, or create a test vendor account and log into it from a separate browser session.
Troubleshooting
Orders from a specific vendor aren't appearing in my Orders section. Confirm the products in those orders have the correct vendor assignment in the Products section. If the vendor field on a product was blank when the order was placed, the order may not have split correctly.
A vendor's products aren't showing in the approval queue. The vendor may have submitted products while you had a different approval setting active. Check Setup & Configuration → Product Settings → Auto approve product — if it's turned on, submissions bypass the queue and go live automatically.
