ShipTurtle Marketplace is available as a 1‑click installation from the Shopify App Store allowing you to add marketplace functionality to your existing Shopify store in minutes.
Steps to install:
- Go to the Shopify App Store.
- Search for ShipTurtle Marketplace.
- Click Install and approve the permissions.
- ShipTurtle will connect with your Shopify store automatically.
2. Selecting a Plan
ShipTurtle offers multiple tier options based on your marketplace requirements from starter setups to advanced marketplace features.
- You can view pricing and plan details on our pricing page.
- All plans include a 14‑day free trial so you can explore features before committing.
- Add‑ons are available on top of the standard subscription e.g., for C2C, hyperlocal, booking, or advanced capabilities.
When you change or upgrade plans, you will be redirected to Shopify to approve charges ensure you are logged in as an Admin user with billing permissions.
3. Using ShipTurtle on Developer Stores
If you’re a Shopify developer installing ShipTurtle on a dev store:
- You can install it with no charges by contacting the ShipTurtle team.
- Dev stores typically receive a custom configuration instead of the standard subscription.
4. Data Access & Permissions
During installation, Shopify shows a data access screen that outlines the permissions ShipTurtle needs to function properly.
- ShipTurtle uses this data only within the app for your marketplace functionality.
- We do not share your store data with third parties for unrelated commercial purposes.
- Permissions are required for inventory sync, order management, payouts, and vendor features.
5. Payment & Billing Cycle
Free Trial
- You get a 14‑day free trial with full access to the ShipTurtle features across your chosen plan.
- Shopify manages all billing ShipTurtle does not control billing or charge your card directly.
Billing After Trial
- Once the free trial ends, Shopify automatically starts billing your store as per its terms and schedules.
- Billing dates can vary based on Shopify’s internal system this is standard for all Shopify apps.
Add‑Ons & Pro‑Rata Charges
- If you activate or remove add‑ons mid‑subscription, Shopify adjusts the charges pro‑rata you pay only for the days the add‑on was active.
Downgrades & Refunds
- Shopify handles pro‑rated refunds automatically when you downgrade your plan.
- ShipTurtle cannot issue refunds directly all payment and refund operations go through Shopify.
Uninstalling the App
- Uninstalling ShipTurtle will immediately cancel your subscription and stop future billing.
6. What Happens After Installation
Once ShipTurtle is installed:
- Your Shopify store becomes marketplace‑ready.
- You can immediately begin configuring vendor portals, adding vendors, and setting up marketplace workflows.
- Follow ShipTurtle’s onboarding guides to reach your first marketplace live launch.
Helpful Tips
- Make sure you’re logged into Shopify as an Admin when selecting or changing plans otherwise approval screens may show errors.
- Review all permissions during installation to understand what data ShipTurtle will access.
- If you plan to use add‑ons (e.g., C2C, hyperlocal, booking), decide on them before the trial ends to explore them fully.
