Vendor view of your marketplace

Vendors on your ShipTurtle marketplace have access to a dedicated dashboard that lets them manage their own business operations independently — without seeing data or settings that belong to other vendors. This ensures privacy, clarity, and focused vendor‑level control.

1. What Vendors Can Access

When vendors log in to their ShipTurtle dashboard, they can access the following key areas:

  • Dashboard Analytics — Overview of their own sales, performance, and activity
  • Orders — View and manage orders placed for their products
  • Products — Add, edit, and manage product listings
  • Payouts — Track payouts due and received
  • Messages — Any announcements or notifications from the merchant
  • Settings — Manage their individual account and preferences

Vendors only see data relevant to themselves — they do not have access to other vendors’ sales, products, or settings, maintaining a secure and isolated experience.

2. Dashboard Analytics

Each vendor’s dashboard displays their own analytics, giving them insights into:

  • Total orders and revenue
  • Recent sales trends
  • Product performance highlights

This helps vendors monitor their sales performance and take timely actions to grow their business.

3. Order Management

Vendors can manage incoming orders directly within their dashboard:

  • View recent and past orders
  • Check order details and statuses
  • Update order progress if permitted by the marketplace settings
  • Track shipment and delivery information related to their products

This section enables vendors to stay on top of fulfilling and tracking orders efficiently.

4. Product Management

In the Products area, vendors can:

  • Add new products to the marketplace
  • Edit product details such as price, description, and images
  • Update inventory quantities and status

This empowers vendors to keep their listings up‑to‑date without needing admin intervention.

5. Payouts & Earnings

Vendors can view details related to their payouts:

  • Amounts due for completed orders
  • Historic payouts received
  • Commission recorded and net earnings

This transparency encourages trust and helps vendors understand their financial data clearly.

6. Messages & Customer Communication

All announcements created by the merchant will be visible here. Additionally, if the “Ask a Seller” add-on is enabled, vendors have access to the Messages module for handling customer chats:

  • View customer inquiries related to their products
  • Respond directly from their dashboard
  • Manage ongoing conversations to ensure quick support

This direct communication channel helps vendors maintain good customer service and resolve queries quickly.

7. Vendor Settings & Preferences

Vendors can manage certain personal and business settings in their dashboard:

  • Update profile and shop details
  • Change contact information
  • Manage store preferences within the permissions set by the marketplace admin
  • Integrate their own external e‑commerce store if enabled (e.g., Shopify or WooCommerce sync)

Admins can configure what specific settings vendors see or can modify to tailor access to your marketplace’s policies.

8. Optional Features You Can Configure

As a marketplace admin, you can control and customize aspects of the vendor experience:

  • Hide customer information from vendor dashboards if privacy is required
  • Share access to your integrated shipping partners so vendors can generate labels or track shipments
  • Enable vendor store sync where vendors connect their own e‑commerce store to sync inventory, products, and orders automatically

These settings help you govern the level of control and visibility vendors have based on your marketplace model.

9. Summary: Vendor‑Centric Control & Visibility

The ShipTurtle vendor dashboard is designed to give sellers:

  • A focused workspace showing only their own business data
  • Tools to manage products, orders, payouts, and customer chats
  • Flexible settings and permissions that admins can tailor per marketplace needs

This vendor‑centric approach ensures independence while keeping the marketplace platform cohesive and easy to use for sellers and admins alike.
