Vendor Profile Page

A vendor profile page is a "Shop by Vendor" page on your storefront where customers can browse all your vendors, view each vendor's details, and shop their products. You add a Shipturtle section to a Shopify page template, configure what the profile shows in Shipturtle, then fill in each vendor's details. Use it to give vendors a storefront presence and let shoppers buy by vendor.

Who this is for

  • Merchant: You create the page, configure the profile layout, and add vendor details.
  • Vendor: Vendors can fill in their own profile details if you allow profile editing.
  • Customer: Browses vendors and shops their products from the profile page.

Before you begin

  • You need access to your Shopify theme to add a page template and a Shipturtle section.
  • Have your vendors' details ready (company info, description, policies) so profiles are complete when the page goes live.

How it works

  1. Create a vendor profile page template in Shopify.
  2. Add the Shipturtle Seller Profile section to it.
  3. Configure the profile layout and visible fields in Shipturtle.
  4. Add each vendor's profile details.
  5. Link the page from your store navigation.

Shopify configuration

Create the page template

  1. In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
  2. Click the three dots next to Customize and select Edit code.
  3. In the Templates folder, add a new template and name it page.vendor-profile.json.
  4. Leave the boilerplate the theme adds, click Save, and exit the editor.

FAQs

Can vendors edit their own profiles? Yes, if you enable profile editing in Customize Website. Otherwise you maintain profiles from Vendors → Edit vendor.

Can customers message a vendor from the profile? Yes. The Contact Us tab on each profile lets a customer message the vendor. Both you and the vendor see these under the Messages menu, and the vendor can reply.

Can I match the profile page to my theme? Yes. Adjust colors, text, and headings in the theme editor, and add custom CSS or JavaScript for deeper changes. For larger customization, work with a developer or contact support.

Troubleshooting

The vendor profile page does not display correctly. Confirm the page uses the vendor-profile template and that all theme customizations were saved. A page left on the default template will not render the Seller Profile section.

Filters are not working as expected. Open the profile configuration in Customize Website and check the filter settings. Filters that are turned off there will not appear on the storefront.
