Custom Invoice

Overview:

The Custom Invoice lets you tailor your invoices exactly to your brand’s needs — from overall page structure to individual line items. Once enabled, you’ll have full control over layout, typography, colours, blocks and more.

Note: The custom invoice feature is available exclusively on our Enterprise plan.

Step-by-step instructions:

Accessing Invoice Customization

To begin customizing your invoice:

• Go to Settings → Merchant Profile → Billing & Invoice

• Click “Customize Invoice” next to the Invoice Format option.

This opens the Invoice Customization Panel, which is divided into three tabs: Page, Assets, and Blocks. (Right hand side of the page layout)

Tab 1 – Page (Whole Layout)

Use the Page tab to set global parameters for your invoice design. Here you can configure:

• Page dimensions (width/height) & background

• Margins (top/bottom/left/right)

• Typography (fonts, font sizes, headings)

• Colours (brand colours, section backgrounds, text colours)

• Borders (lines, section dividers, spacing)

These settings define the baseline structure and visual style for your invoice template.

Tab 2 – Assets (Drag & Drop Blocks)

Under the Assets tab you’ll find modular blocks you can add to your layout. Examples include:

• Document Title (e.g., “Invoice”)

• Company Info (logo, address, contact)

• Invoice Details (invoice number, date)

• Billing Address / Shipping Address

• Itemized Rows (products, quantity, price)

• Totals & Tax Summary

• Terms & Conditions, Additional Notes

To add a block: click or drag it into your layout area. Blocks are fully customisable in the next step.

Tab 3 – Blocks (Individual Block Settings)

Once a block is placed, click the block to select it. You’ll see a “Block Selected” card appear above it. In the block settings you can modify:

• Content (text, labels, dynamic fields)

• Layout (positioning, padding/margin, alignment)

• Typography (font style, size, weight)

• Colours (background, text, border)

• Visibility rules (e.g., hide block if empty)

This gives you granular control over how each section appears and behaves in your invoice.

Preview & Save

• After configuring page, assets, and blocks, click “Preview PDF” (top right) to view how the invoice will look.

• If everything is as desired, click “Save Template” (top right) your customized invoice template is now live.

Key Benefits

• Create invoice designs that match your brand identity (colours, logo, layout)

• Tailor information presentation to your needs (show/hide fields, re order sections)

• Save time by re using templates across invoices

• Enhance professionalism and clarity in your buyer communications
