Backup & Restore Products (Add-On)


Shipturtle allows merchants on the Enterprise plan to delete products while ensuring data safety through the Backup & Restore Products add-on. This feature protects against accidental deletions and enables quick recovery when needed.

Overview: Backup & Restore Products

The Backup & Restore Products add-on automatically creates a backup whenever a product is deleted. This ensures that merchants can restore deleted products within a limited time window without losing critical data.

What’s Included in the Backup

  • Complete product details
  • All meta fields
  • Product images
  • Variants and associated data

This gives merchants peace of mind while managing large or frequently changing catalogs.

How the Feature Works

  • When a product is deleted, Shipturtle automatically creates a backup
  • The backup is stored securely for 15 days
  • After 15 days, the product is permanently deleted and cannot be restored

Important:
Restoration is only possible within the backup retention period.

Where to Find Deleted Products

To access deleted products:

  1. Go to Manage Products
  2. Click the 3-dot (⋮) menu on the top-right
  3. Select Deleted Products

Deleted Products Page

The Deleted Products page shows:

  • All products deleted in the last 15 days
  • Product name, vendor, and deletion details

Actions Available

  • Restore Individual Products
    Click the Restore icon next to a product
  • Restore Products in Bulk
    Select multiple products and click Restore

Once restored, the product:

  • Reappears in Manage Products
  • Becomes available again on the merchant store (subject to product status)
