How Invogue Again Turned Unsold Fashion Into Humanitarian Impact with Shipturtle

Invogue Again is a Germany-based marketplace that gives unsold and deadstock fashion a second life, reselling past-collection inventory from brand partners at accessible prices while turning every purchase into support for a humanitarian project the customer chooses. Co-founded by Fabio Bassi alongside Stefan and Pier Giorgio, Invogue Again runs on Shipturtle's Ultimate Plan, combining the core multi-vendor platform with ongoing operations and marketing support as the marketplace onboards its first brand partners.

INTRO

Invogue Again exists to solve a problem the fashion industry rarely talks about openly: a significant share of what brands produce never sells. Past-season collections, deadstock, and overstock inventory often end up discounted into oblivion, destroyed, or simply forgotten in a warehouse, even when the product itself is perfectly good. Fabio Bassi and co-founders Stefan and Pier Giorgio built Invogue Again on a simple belief: unsold does not mean unwanted. The brand's own language captures it as "past drops, future change," treating every unsold piece as the start of a new fashion cycle rather than the end of one.

The concept runs on a four-step journey the brand calls Rescue, Rediscover, Choose, and Impact. First, quality fashion from past collections and unsold stock gets rescued from the warehouse rather than written off. Customers then rediscover these pieces at fair, accessible prices, often significantly below what the same item cost in its original season. At checkout, every customer chooses a humanitarian project to support, turning what would otherwise be a routine purchase into a deliberate act. Finally, a share of that purchase creates real impact beyond fashion, funding the humanitarian project the customer selected.

That four-step model is built to work for three groups at once. For fashion brands, it means dormant inventory becomes recovered value without diluting brand identity through generic clearance channels or liquidation resellers. For customers, it means discovering well-made fashion with a story attached, at a price that reflects its status as past-season rather than current-drop. And for communities, it means everyday purchases connect directly to humanitarian projects that matter, rather than sustainability being a marketing line with no real mechanism behind it.

Bringing that concept to life onto a working platform meant more than listing discounted products for sale. It meant building a genuine multi-vendor marketplace that could onboard brand partners with rotating deadstock inventory, present a curated shopping experience organized by brand, and make the checkout-time humanitarian selection feel like a natural part of the purchase rather than an afterthought bolted onto a standard checkout flow. Fabio and his co-founders brought on Shipturtle for a full-stack Ultimate Plan engagement, covering the platform itself along with ongoing operations and marketing, as Invogue Again brings its first brand partners onto the marketplace.

BRIDGING GAPS WITH SOLUTIONS

What Were Invogue Again's Biggest Challenges Launching a Values-Driven Fashion Marketplace?

Invogue Again's early-stage challenges centered on building a multi-vendor foundation that could scale smoothly as brand partners joined, without compromising the checkout experience that makes the marketplace distinct.

Onboarding Brand Partners With Rotating Deadstock Inventory

The challenge: Unlike a marketplace selling current-season stock, Invogue Again's brand partners bring inventory that shifts over time, past collections, overstock, and deadstock, rather than a stable, ongoing catalogue. Onboarding needed to handle that kind of inventory cleanly from day one.

The solution: Shipturtle's multi-vendor platform gives each brand partner its own space to list and manage deadstock and past-collection inventory, with operations support from Shipturtle's Ultimate Plan handling the onboarding process as new brands join the marketplace.

Keeping the Humanitarian Checkout Experience Simple

The challenge: Letting customers choose a humanitarian project at checkout is core to Invogue Again's identity, but adding a values-driven decision point to checkout risks slowing down or complicating the purchase if it isn't built cleanly into the platform.

The solution: The marketplace platform Shipturtle built keeps the humanitarian project selection as a natural part of checkout rather than a bolted-on extra step, so the purchase still feels simple while giving customers real agency over the impact their money creates.

Building Marketing Momentum for a Values-Driven, Early-Stage Marketplace

The challenge: As a newly launched marketplace, Invogue Again needed to build awareness for both its sustainability story and its brand partner roster at the same time, without the search history or brand recognition an established retailer would have.

The solution: Shipturtle's Ultimate Plan pairs the platform with marketing support, helping Invogue Again build visibility for its unsold-fashion-with-purpose model as it grows its brand partner network and customer base from launch.

IMPACT

What Has Invogue Again Achieved With Shipturtle?

As an early-stage marketplace, Invogue Again's progress with Shipturtle so far is about establishing the right foundation, not chasing scale prematurely.

A Growing Roster of Brand Partners

Invogue Again has begun onboarding its first brand partners, including labels like Anthem Brand Co., Funky Snowboards, Nena Lab, and I Was a Sari, a Mumbai-based social enterprise, each bringing past-collection or deadstock inventory onto the platform.

Multiple Humanitarian Projects Supported

Since launch, Invogue Again has worked with multiple humanitarian projects, giving customers real, varied choices for where their purchase's impact goes rather than a single default cause.

A Platform Built to Scale With the Brand Roster

With Shipturtle managing platform, operations, and marketing under one Ultimate Plan engagement, Invogue Again is positioned to onboard additional brand partners without needing a platform rework at each stage of growth.

THE RESULTS

Invogue Again is still early in its journey, but the foundation is built for the model to work at scale: a multi-vendor platform that can onboard brand partners with rotating deadstock inventory, a checkout experience that keeps humanitarian impact simple rather than complicated, and marketing support aimed at building awareness for a genuinely different kind of fashion marketplace.

As Fabio, Stefan, and Pier Giorgio continue to grow Invogue Again's brand partner network across Germany and the wider EU, the platform Shipturtle built is designed to scale alongside that growth, one rescued collection and one humanitarian project at a time.
