What Were Covera's Biggest Challenges Scaling a Multi-Brand Marketplace?
Covera's core challenge was operational integration: connecting a marketplace built for customer-facing simplicity to the inventory systems its vendors were already using, without forcing a workflow change on either side.
Eliminating Manual Product Uploads for Vendors
The challenge: Vendors onboarding onto Covera were already managing their catalogues in Unicommerce. Re-entering that same product data manually into the Covera dashboard for every new item or stock update would have made vendor onboarding slower and more error-prone as the brand roster grew.
The solution: Shipturtle developed a custom Unicommerce integration that lets sellers connect their existing Unicommerce accounts directly to the Covera dashboard, automatically syncing products without any manual upload. New listings and stock changes flow through from the system vendors already use.
Keeping Order Fulfillment Inside Vendors' Existing Systems
The challenge: Once an order came in through Covera, vendors needed a way to fulfil it without switching into a separate marketplace-only workflow, especially since many were already running shipping, packing, and inventory deduction through Unicommerce.
The solution: Shipturtle built the integration to sync orders placed on Covera directly back to Unicommerce, so vendors could manage fulfillment from the same system handling the rest of their operations, rather than maintaining two parallel processes.
Scaling Vendor Onboarding Without Adding Operational Overhead
The challenge: As Covera added more brands, manually reconciling inventory and orders across a growing vendor base would have required proportionally more operational effort from the Covera team.
The solution: With product sync and order sync both automated end to end, Shipturtle's integration let Covera scale its brand roster without a matching increase in manual operations work, keeping the marketplace's own team focused on curation and growth rather than data entry.
