Configure your General Settings

General Settings should be configured right after installation. These settings control how your marketplace behaves such as currency, measurement units, language, and time zone so they directly impact your daily operations and how values appear across ShipTurtle.

Navigation Path:

Settings → Setup & configuration → General Settings

What You Can Configure (Step-by-step)

1) Currency

  • Select your preferred currency from the dropdown (example: USD)

This affects how pricing, payouts, and reports are displayed.

2) Measurement Unit

  • Choose the measurement unit (example: inch, cm, etc.)

This is used for product dimensions and shipping-related calculations.

3) Default Language

  • Select the default language for your marketplace (example: English)

This helps standardize dashboard labels and experience for your users.

4) Number of Digits to Show After Decimal

  • Enter how many decimal places should be shown (example: 2)

This affects how values like totals, commission calculations, and pricing appear.

5) Time Zone

  • Select the correct time zone for your marketplace (example: Australia/Sydney)

This is important for:

  • invoice generation schedules
  • payout automation schedules
  • order timestamps and reporting

6) Weight Unit

  • Select the unit of weight (example: lbs., kg)

This affects shipping label generation, carrier calculations, and weight display across orders.

This helps ShipTurtle apply the right workflows for:

  • shipping
  • fulfillment
  • digital fulfillment (if applicable)

Save Your Changes

After updating all fields:

  • Click SAVE at the bottom of the page

Your settings will be applied across your marketplace immediately.
