Shopify vendor store connect

Connect a vendor's Shopify store using Vendor Konnect

Vendor Konnect lets vendors link their own Shopify store to your Shipturtle marketplace so that inventory, product details, and order data stay in sync automatically between both platforms. When a vendor's stock changes in their Shopify store, it updates on the marketplace — and when an order comes in through the marketplace, the vendor's store reflects it. Use it when your vendors already run their own Shopify stores and you want to eliminate manual stock updates and double-entry.

Who this is for

  • Merchant: Enables Vendor Konnect access for vendors from the dashboard settings.
  • Vendor: Connects their own Shopify store to the marketplace by installing the Shipturtle Vendor Store Sync app.

Before you begin

  • The vendor has an active Shopify store they own and have admin access to.
  • The merchant has enabled Vendor Konnect access for the vendor in Setup & Configuration → Vendor Konnect Settings. Vendors won't see the Vendor Konnect section in their dashboard until this is on.
  • The vendor has their Shopify store domain ready. If unsure, it follows this format: {store-name}.myshopify.com. To find it, go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Store details and append .myshopify.com to the store name shown. For example, a store named acme-goods has the domain acme-goods.myshopify.com.

How it works (at a glance)

  1. The merchant enables Vendor Konnect for the vendor.
  2. The vendor opens Vendor Konnect in their Shipturtle dashboard and connects their Shopify store.
  3. They confirm their identity with a password, then are redirected to the Shopify App Store.
  4. They install Shipturtle Vendor Store Sync on their Shopify store.
  5. They are redirected back to Shipturtle, where the Vendor Inventory Sync tab confirms the connection.
  6. Inventory and product data sync automatically from that point forward.

Merchant setup

Enable Vendor Konnect for a vendor

  1. Open Setup & Configuration → Vendor Konnect Settings.
  2. Confirm that vendor store sync is enabled for the relevant vendor or vendor group.
  3. Save.

The vendor now sees Vendor Konnect in the left sidebar of their dashboard and can proceed with connecting their store.

Vendor setup

Connect your Shopify store

  1. Log in to your Shipturtle vendor dashboard.
  2. Open Vendor Konnect from the left sidebar.
  3. In the Connected Channels tab, find Shopify and click Connect.
  4. A pop-up appears asking you to confirm your identity. Enter your Shipturtle password and click Confirm.

You are redirected to the Shopify App Store, on the Shipturtle Vendor Store Sync installation page.

  1. In the top-right corner, confirm the store name shown is the store you want to connect. If you manage multiple Shopify stores in the same browser session and need to switch, click the store name → Switch stores → select the correct store.
  2. Click Install.

Once installation completes, you are redirected back to your Shipturtle dashboard and land on the Vendor Inventory Sync tab. Your Shopify store now appears as a connected channel.

Check sync status

After connecting, open the Connected Vendor Stores tab to review the sync status of your products.

  • Products with a quantity value are actively synced.
  • Products showing Not Managed under the quantity field have Track Quantity disabled in your Shopify store. Shipturtle cannot sync inventory for these products. To fix this, enable Track Quantity on the product in your Shopify store and the status updates on the next sync.

FAQs

What data syncs between my Shopify store and Shipturtle?
Product details (title, description, images, variants) and inventory quantities sync from your Shopify store to Shipturtle. Orders placed on the marketplace sync back to your Shopify store so fulfillment can be managed from one place.

What does "Not Managed" mean next to a product's quantity?
It means Track Quantity is turned off for that product in your Shopify store. Since there's no quantity to track, Shipturtle can't sync inventory for it. Go to the product in your Shopify admin, enable Track Quantity, and save. The status on Shipturtle updates on the next sync.

Can I connect more than one Shopify store?
Each vendor account connects to one Shopify store at a time through Vendor Konnect. If you need to connect a different store, disconnect the current one first and repeat the connection flow.

Will my existing products on the marketplace be overwritten when I connect?
Products already live on the marketplace remain as they are. Vendor Konnect adds and syncs products from your Shopify store going forward — it doesn't delete or replace existing marketplace listings unless you explicitly configure it to.

Troubleshooting

The Vendor Konnect option isn't visible in my vendor dashboard. The merchant must enable Vendor Konnect access for your vendor account before it appears. Ask the merchant to check Setup & Configuration → Vendor Konnect Settings and confirm access is enabled for you.

I was redirected to the Shopify App Store but the wrong store is shown. Click the store name in the top-right corner of the Shopify App Store page, select Switch stores, and choose the correct store from the list before clicking Install.

The installation completed but I wasn't redirected back to Shipturtle. Open your Shipturtle vendor dashboard manually at app.shipturtle.com, navigate to Vendor Konnect, and check the Connected Vendor Stores tab. If your store appears there, the connection was successful despite the redirect not completing. If it doesn't appear, repeat the connection steps from Connected Channels.

Inventory isn't updating on the marketplace after I make changes in my Shopify store. Check the Connected Vendor Stores tab for any sync error indicators. Also confirm the products in question have Track Quantity enabled in Shopify — products without it show as Not Managed and don't sync. If the products are managed and errors are present, contact team@shipturtle.com with your store domain and the affected product IDs.
