WhatsApp Integration (Add-On)


The WhatsApp Integration Add-on allows Shipturtle marketplaces to communicate with customers and vendors directly via WhatsApp. It enables automated order updates, payment notifications, and important alerts in real time. This add-on helps improve customer engagement, reduce support effort, and deliver faster, more personalized communication through a familiar messaging channel.

How to Activate the WhatsApp Add-On

Follow these simple steps to activate the WhatsApp feature:


Step 1: Activate the WhatsApp Add-On

  1. Go to Shipturtle App > Settings > Subscription and Billing.
  2. Find the WhatsApp Add-On listed on the page.

  1. Click Activate.
  2. You’ll be redirected to Shopify — approve the subscription charges.

Note: Activation of the module is mandatory to complete the integration.

How to Integrate WhatsApp

Once the add-on is activated, proceed with the integration:

Step 2: Configure WhatsApp Integration

  1. Go to Settings > Integration > WhatsApp.
  2. Click Configure.

Step 3: Choose Your Integration Method

Under the Integration tab, you will see two options:

  • Use Shipturtle’s Account to Send Messages
    • Messages will be sent using Shipturtle’s WhatsApp system.
    • You will be charged 1 credit per message.

  • Use My Own WhatsApp Account
    • Integrate your own WhatsApp Business API.
    • Enter your Username and Password to authenticate your account.

Testing the WhatsApp Integration

Before going live, ensure everything works correctly:

  1. Enter a valid Test WhatsApp Number in the configuration screen.
  2. Click Send Test Message to confirm that your WhatsApp integration is working properly.
